HotTea Mamma Over The Moon Menstruation Tea

Life has enough challenges without facing uncomfortable and unpredictable monthly cycles. Over The Moon tea aims to naturally help and support your body with the challenges posed by mother nature.

Select herbs have been used traditionally for millennia to soothe cramps, swollen tummies, bring calm and relaxation and support a regular cycle. Their natural benefits come with delicious flavours, to create a hug in a mug. We’ve selected whole leaves and flowers, to blend a soothing cuppa.

With whole leaf raspberry leaf, chamomile flowers, ginkgo, spearmint, dandelion root and rose petals. Each targeted to support your body, and offer you support when you need it.

We only use whole leaf, natural ingredients to ensure that you get the full flavour and goodness of the herbs and flowers in this blend. Our whole leaf, plastic free, biodegradable tea bags are plant based and release fewer tannins into a brew, ensuring it is as soothing as possible.

Drink throughout the month, or whenever you suffer from PMS. However, if you're drinking when TTC, we recommend timing how you drink it as raspberry leaf shouldn't be drunk once pregnant until 32 weeks.  See our FAQs for the best recommendation.

We're incredibly proud that Over the Moon won gold at the 2021 Nourish Awards - in the Best Tea & Coffee category.  The judges praised it's natural, whole ingredients and it's soothing ability.

All teas are vegan and gluten free

With a warming floral base of chamomile and rose petals, this blend is lifted by sweet spearmint and herbaceous raspberry leaf and ginkgo biloba. Balanced to be soothing and refreshing.

We don’t recommend adding milk, but a splash of honey is the perfect accompaniment if you have a sweet tooth.

1. Place 1 whole leaf tea bag in a 300ml cup
2. Pour freshly boiled water over it
3. Brew for 3-5 minutes, depending on your taste
4. Remove bag from cup, and keep in a small dish (or egg cup!) by your kettle
5. Re-brew your bag, and just leave it in the cup for a little longer
6. Relax and take a moment with your cuppa.

We don’t recommend adding milk, but honey is a perfect match if you have a sweet tooth.

Herbs have been a natural support to periods and menstruation for millennia.

The benefits are believed to build up over time, so we recommend drinking a cup of this tea a day for the biggest benefit long term.

But for it to specifically help with PMS symptoms you should drink on days 10-14 of your cycle and whenever you feels cramps.

And if you're drinking it when TTC, we recommend drinking it from the day you start your period, until you are due to come on (or the last day of your period - whichever you can track most easily).

- Each box contains 15 whole leaf tea bags.
- They are totally plastic free, made from cornstarch which is 100% biodegradable. Once you've enjoyed your cuppa, put the bag in your food bin, as they'll take years to decompose on a home compost.
- The inner bag which holds the tea bags is also biodegradable - it's derived from paper! Put this in your food bin too.
- And don't forget to recycle the box! It can biodegrade too, but recycling is the most eco-friendly option.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I drink this tea if iI'm pregnant?

If you become pregnant while drinking this tea, we recommend stopping. It contains raspberry leaf, which isn't recommended by the NHS until 32 weeks of pregnancy, as it tones your uterine muscles. So stop drinking it, and you can have it from 32 weeks, or alteratively move on to our Final Push which is perfect for birth preparation.

Should I only drink this tea when I have PMS or my period?

You absolutely can. But the benefits of herbal tea are believed to build up over time, and small scale studies that look at this all look at daily consumption for a minimum of 3-4 weeks.  So we recommend drinking Over The Moon regularly throughout the month.
